  10. I have a computer art lab with eight Amigas.  We are adding a Macintosh,  
  11. and want to buy a color scanner which will be compatible with both  
  12. machines.  As I understand it, Amigas usually use the parallel port and  
  13. SCSI to communicate with scanners and the MAC's use a serial connection.
  14.  
  15. I would like to know first, if what I have just said is correct and,  
  16. second, if the Epson 1200C scanner has both serial and parallel  
  17. connectors?  Would we be able to hook an Amiga to the parallel connector  
  18. and a MAC to the serial connector at the same time?  Can the scanner  
  19. "sense" which machine it is hooked up to and to which it must reply, or  
  20. would we have to disconnect and reconnect cables each time we wanted to  
  21. use a different machine?
